The Chair called the meeting to order and read the following call:

Dear Board Member:

Upon call of the President, the St. John the Baptist Parish School Board will meet in regular session at Godchaux Grammar Cafeteria (Board Meeting Room), 1600 Highway 44, Reserve, LA, on Thursday, July 24, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

ITEM 1.  CALL TO ORDER, INVOCATION, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

The Chair called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. and called for a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.

ITEM 2a. ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS:

PRESENT:    Triche, DeFrancesch, Frizzell, Mamou, Schum, Vicknair, Wallace

ABSENT:       Holden, Burl, Morris, Mitchell-Williams,

There were 7 members present and 4 members absent.

ITEM 3. Public Comment.  Consideration of Amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement

Superintendent’s Recommendation:  To approve

MOTION BY:  Morris

SECOND BY:           Mamou

MOTION:  To approve the Memorandum of Understanding between St. John the Baptist Parish School Board and St. John Association of Educators (re: the interpretation and application of Article 7B.3 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement), as presented.

7 Yeas – Triche, DeFrancesch, Frizzell, Mamou, Schum, Vicknair, Wallace

4 Absent – Holden, Burl, Morris, Mitchell-Williams

The motion carried.
