PROCEEDINGS OF THE ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH SCHOOL BOARD

RESERVE, LA - Meeting of March 28, 2012

ITEM 1:  The Chair called the meeting to order and read the following call:

HONORABLE MEMBERS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD

Parish of St. John the Baptist

Dear Board Member:

Upon call of the President, the St. John the Baptist Parish School Board will meet in special session at the School Board Office Conference Room, Reserve, Louisiana, on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at 9:00 a.m.

An agenda for the meeting is attached.

The Chair called for a moment of silent meditation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.  

Dr. Keller stated that Mr. Francis Guidry (former School Board Member)  recently passed away and asked that he be remember in prayer.

ITEM 2.  ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS:

PRESENT: Messrs. Jack, Keller, DeFrancesch, Wise, Bacas, Triche, Sanders.

ABSENT:  Burl, Jones, Johnson, Nicholas.

There were 7 members present, 4 absent.

ITEM 3.  Approval to Submit Head Start 2012-2013 Continued Refunding Grant Application (Cycle 3).

A  motion was made by Dr. Keller, seconded by the entire Board, to approve the submittal of the Head Start 2012-2013 Continued Refunding Grant Application (Cycle 3).  There were no objections.

The motion carried.

7 Yeas - Jack, Keller, DeFrancesch, Wise, Bacas, Triche, Sanders.

4 Absent - Burl, Jones, Johnson, Nicholas.

ITEM 4. ADJOURNMENT: The agenda having been completed, and there being no further business, Mr. Wise offered a motion for adjournment, seconded by Mr. Triche. There were no objections. The meeting adjourned at 9:03 a.m.
