RESERVE, LA - Meeting of June 26, 2013

ITEM 1:  The Chair called the meeting to order and read the following call:

HONORABLE MEMBERS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD

Parish of St. John the Baptist

Dear Board Member:

Upon call of the President, the St. John the Baptist Parish School Board will meet in special session at Godchaux Grammar Cafeteria, Reserve Louisiana, on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 10:00 a.m.

An agenda for the meeting is attached.

The Chair called for a moment of silent meditation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. 

ITEM 2.  ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS:

PRESENT: Messrs. Keller, Wise, Bacas, Nicholas, Triche

ABSENT:  Messrs. Jack, Burl, Sanders, DeFrancesch, Jones, Johnson.

There were 5 members present, 6 absent.

The president stated that due to the lack of a quorum, the meeting is cancelled.

At 10:26 a.m., Mr. Wise made a motion to reconvene the meeting that was scheduled for 10:00 a.m.  Mr. Burl objected.  Upon roll call to reconvene the meeting that was scheduled for 10:00 a.m., there were:

3 Yeas – DeFrancesch, Wise, Triche

5 Nays – Jack, Burl, Keller, Bacas, Nicholas

3 Absent – Sanders, Jones, Johnson.

The motion to reconvene failed.
